G'day!
I've been deep-diving into the films of Bergman, and I'd love to read some novels that scratch a similar itch. Recently I've seen Through a Glass, Darkly; Hour of the Wolf; After the Rehearsal; The Virgin Spring; The Silence; The Rite; and Shame. Fanny & Alexander and Scenes from a Marriage are also longtime favorites of mine.
Ideally, these will be dialogue-driven with compelling narratives, settings, and thematic concerns. Translated works are a definite plus, as are ones focusing on artists and creators. Thanks!
