Would the 1937 Nonesuch Dickens fall under GM’s involvement in the Nonesuch Press? Also, does anyone here have any of the 2005 Barnes and Noble reproductions of the Nonesuch Dickens, and, did B&N reprint all of the Dickens titles as the Nonesuch Press did?

>1 Bibliophile-I: Yes Macy was involved with the Nonesuch Dickens. Can't help you with the B&N question.
I recommend getting a copy of Carol Grossman's book THE HISTORY OF THE LIMITED EDITIONS CLUB. There is some detail on the Nonesuch period. The book as a whole is incredibly detailed and I check my copy when I get a new LEC because Carol has many details that aren't in monthly letters or other references.

Other important references:
Quarto-Millenary: The First 250 Publications and the First 25 Years (1929-1954) of the Limited Editions Club - Bibliographic details of the first 250 books, reproductions of text pages, titles, and illustrations. It was in production during George's life and he wrote comments on some of the books but was not able to finish before his death.
Bibliography of the Fine Books Published by The Limited Editions Club 1929 – 1985 -
Bibliographic details of all books through 1985. No reproductions or commentary.
Great and good books. A bibliographical catalogue of the Limited Editions Club 1929-1985 -
Compiled by Ralph Newman and Glen Wiche. You can get this one free online through the internet archive.

>2 PBB: PBB, thanks. I’ll look into these.

>3 Bibliophile-I: If you get the LEC Bibliography and Quarto-Millenary, you won't need the Newman book. I got the Newman book when it was published, but it was superseded by the other two when I later acquired them.
You should also check out this one by our own Wildcat: The George Macy Imagery Presents The First Series of the Limited Editions Club.

>4 Glacierman: , thanks. What’s the Newman book? Is it similar to the book by Grossman put out by Oak Knoll?
