Hey all.
I was poking through some of my stuff and I came up with an idea for a writing prompt.
Do you (or maybe your kids) have collectable card game cards lying around gathering dust? Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc?
If you have prebuilt decks, you can shuffle the cards, deal out a 7 card hand, then try to create a story based on the cards dealt.
If you don't have any decks built, you can select 7 cards at random to lay out and use as an idea.
Added challenge, shuffle the different style games together.
Imagine a Planeswalker encountering a Blue Eyes White Dragon while trying to capture a Squirtle by attacking with a Goblin Raider.
Just a thought.

If you've got a sizeable collection of old business cards, that might make for an interesting draw

Italo Calvino did this with tarot cards, to some degree, in The Castle of Crossed Destinies.
