I will be running a bit behind. I am just starting the book now and I work this weekend, so my reading time is limited

I'm not dead. We had 70mph straight-line winds off of Lake Michigan Wednesday night and lost cable service, so I had no internet. Just got it back today. I'm trying to catch up with everything. I will get back her hopefully soon.

Just got back from my yearly vacation with my sister but was able to read the first three sections on the plane so I'm up to date.

How is John, Eadie. Do pass on my best wishes to him, and I’m sure I speak for everyone else.

John is not doing good. We go to the doctor tomorrow. He has major breathing problems since he had finished with the prednisone. He has major phlegm and is trying to clear it but not going so well. He is light-headed and needs to lay down. He has also lost his appetite and needs to force himself to eat. Not to mention the problem with his kidney. It’s just horrible the way he is feeling.

>10 EadieB: I am so, so sorry for him and for you. Tell him that I'm thinking of him and wishing him a good outcome. Please keep us informed as things go along.

>11 Carol420: Will do! I’m let you know what the doctor thinks tomorrow.

>15 Andrew-theQM: >11 Carol420: >13 Sergeirocks: >18 Olivermagnus: John seems to be doing a lot better today. The doctor has told him he could go on a small dose of prednisone but he first needs to have a blood test to see if he has any infections such as pneumonia. He doesn’t want to have any more infusions so the doctor going to look into other things they can do for his kidneys which he has vasculitis. (An immune problem that has attacked his kidney). You need to google vasculitis in order to understand the problem.

>20 EadieB: That is good news indeed. Tell him to get better. We miss him.

Thanks for the update Eadie. So many immune problems around at the moment. With Crohn’s Disease I am having to take medication to stop my Immune system attacking my body, most notably the bowels. Send John my best wishes hopefully the blood test and medication helps the situation. Good to hear he is doing a lot better today. Tell him we are all missing him.

Unfortunately I’ve not had much time for reading this past week, so I am unable to participate in the group read. I look forward to joining next month!
