Ahoy, Library Thingers! I'm looking for a quality "big book" recommendation. I was looking at my recently reads and realized that the majority of my reading this year has been on the shorter side.
Recent favorites have included Unity Penfold, People Who Knock on the Door, A Fairly Honorable Defeat, See Them Die, Red Lights, and Lake of Darkness.

Chonky and psychological, a bit of mystery and maybe horror? have you looked at Vajra Chandrasekera's novels?
I'm thinking Rakesfall in particular, though it may be more weird and twisty/folded plot than you want. But looking at the recently added books we share that you've rated, I think it could work for you. The Saint of Bright Doors is a more straightforward narrative, with less horror/mystery, but is certainly chock full of symbolism and meaning, and, again, themes that aren't dissimilar to those rated books.
