Hi, all. We have been using a very simple notebook-based checkout system, where users
sign out a book by writing the book name and their name on a page - pages are A-Z and the idea is that you use the page with the same letter as the first word in the book title. Then you cross out your listing when you return the book.
This has worked ok, but it's not really accurate - sometimes people don't fill it out, or don't put in the date so we don't know how long anyone had it. We've come into a little money and could possibly get an affordable and easy checkout system that could run on a (used) Mac. Does anyone know of such a system?
Thanks,

Ok, I have done some more research and found TinyCat and some other possible, affordable systems. I should have done this research before posting...no need for replies.

That's great you found Tiny Cat.
I'm still trying to figure out how to use it here in my shul.
Members look for books, place a hold, then pick up say Shabbat afternoon, then return to the office or Library (I'll need a returns box). Hmm...
