I saw this at a used bookstore and immediately bought it. What an amazing treasure.

So that's where David Foster Wallace got that wheelchair assassin idea.

I don't get the human-like hands.

The computer needs to human hands in order to propel the human wheelchair.

>5 EndofDiskOne: That was my thought. Though it could also use those hands to build itself a motorized one. Maybe it needs to commit armed robberies to get the parts for that.

It does mean that unless you're directly in front of the bot or off to that one side, you're safe from the guns. It can't swivel them to point elsewhere. Just stand behind it and rip out circuits or batteries, or reach over to take the gun and shoot it in the CPU.

>6 GSSex-noob: Oh, the bot will just turn its wheels so it can point the...waitaminute.... ;-)

They saved Hitler's brain. Also his hands for some reason.

>9 bam2001: Once in the late 80s, some friends and I were doing some shopping and the one who was not familiar with radicchio called it "They saved Hitler's brain". Also there was some pink and green leafy thing we all decided to call "Chernobyl lettuce"; it wasn't chard.
