Also, it appears this time it is Liam Neeson that is the one being taken. I wonder who's gonna rescue him...?

I have had that book in my SF collection for many a year, and I gotta say the one on the left still has one of the goofiest faces I've ever seen on an alien menace.

I also had that for decades, and I'm pretty sure I bought it based on the back cover blurb and not this. I dimly recall it as being pretty good.

Did they win this man at a school carnival, like I did a goldfish in this era?

I bet the artist had that in mind -- bright orange species of lesser intellect floating in a plastic bag? Had to be. Little did he know it would be amusing a small group decades later.
