Hello All! I'm happy to announce that the August 2025 Early Reviewers batch is live!

We've got 232 titles and 4,410 copies this month!

As a reminder: please be aware that you now have the possibility of winning more than two titles through ER—up to four per month, depending upon your Reviewing Score. See our announcement thread HERE for more details, and check your ER Settings page to make sure you have the correct number of titles selected.

So... which books are you hoping to win this month? August 2025 ER Titles

Awesome!

I notice that a lot of the books listed have something odd listed under page count.
Specifically, instead of a number, a lot of them have a range listed, e.g. 1-100 or 301-400.

Only one mildly tempting one, but I'm going to pass. I have way too many books piled up to read, and I've just decided to pause the holds I have at my library!

I found a diverse group that I'm interested in this month: A nonfiction American history, a rom-com, a romantic suspense story, and a cozy mystery. We'll see what comes of it!

>1 AbigailAdams26: Hello,

I see I'm in the August givaway, and I see nine people want to read it. I'm thrilled! How do I get my book to them?

I’m in the same boat as a new author. I’ve been selected and have readers who chose my book. I don’t have a download site and plan to send the epub file.

>6 RomanSchreiber:, >7 newcomb5:: Abigail Will certainly answer more thoroughly, but in a nutshell the folks at LT will draw the winners (if there are more requests that copies offered) and give you the addresses of the winners.
>7 newcomb5:: I don't want to sound pessimist, but the rate of reviewed ebooks is usually quite low. (I don't know what happens with paper ones: I don't live in the U.S. so I can usually get only ebooks)

Is it possible to increase my available count to 20?

>2 igorken: We have recently added a page field to giveaways, to give entrants an idea of the approximate length of the titles being offered. It isn't a free form field, but a dropdown menu with different page range options. This is why you are seeing the range rather than a count.

>6 RomanSchreiber: Thank you for offering your book!

Your giveaway is currently live and open to entrants (it now has 11). It will run until September 2nd at 6pm EST (a little bit longer than our average monthly batch, due to LibraryThing scheduling constraints this time).

After it closes we will run our winners script (this occurs the next day), and the download link you provided will be sent to your winners via onsite LibraryThing message. You should receive an email confirming that this has been done, on September 3rd (the day the script is run and winners are selected).

If you have any specific questions or concerns about your giveaway, you can send me a private message here on the site (using the message button on my profile page), or you can email me directly at abigailadams@librarything.com

As mentioned in my reply to RomanSchreiber, your giveaway is currently live and open to entrants. It will run until September 2nd at 6pm EST.

You have opted to send your book via email, as an attached file. This means that once we run our winners script on September 3rd, you will be sent an email directing you to your winners page. Here you will be able to access and download your winners' names and email addresses, in order to get copies sent out to them.

I have now edited the giveaway, so that 20 copies are on offer: https://www.librarything.com/ner/detail/54078/Plundering-Picasso

If you have any further questions or concerns about your giveaway, you can send me a private message here on the site (using the message button on my profile page), or you can email me directly at abigailadams@librarything.com

>11 AbigailAdams26: Aha, thanks for the explanation, that was not intuitive to me.
I suppose adding "approximate" would be a long word that messes up the layout. Got it now :)

>14 igorken: You are exactly right. We actually had "approximate" in that field initially, but it did cause issues with the layout. I'll see if we can change the field name from Page Count to Page Range, so it's a little clearer.

Edited to add: you won't see this field on all the August giveaways, as it wasn't mandatory for this month's batch, but you should see it going forward.
