Who's to say what an atomic elephant would look like? Probably was a nice picture until someone spilled a glass of water on it.

He painted the elephant in his pajamas.
How it got into his pajamas he’ll never know.

The atomic elephant seems to be under attack from atomic geese.

I say it's a hat, and I say the hell with it.

Yeah, you don't want to step in the atomic elephant poo.

I think they look more like pterodactyls than geese.

Is that a horned train on the right?

>6 AndreasJ: You’re right, I see the train now.

Didn't know Saberhagen did Doctor Who novelisations! They left a comma out of the blurb, though:- 'Who rides an atomic "Elephant", dares not dismount!'

>8 NomadUK: Why is elephant in quotation marks, though?

>9 EndofDiskOne: Clearly because it’s an alien creature that looks vaguely like an elephant, but isn’t; it’s atomic, after all. It’s a wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey elephant.

The guy in the foreground, like the rest of us, is all "what the hell am I looking at?" You can practically see the question mark floating above his bald, bald head.

>11 bam2001: Agreed. I get a strong WTF vibe from him.

Perhaps, like me, he's wondering why all the things have to be so pointy.

Too much pointyness, I agree. The atomic elephant wouldn't be able to walk a step through the robo-jungles without getting hung up on something.

If those little tiny black figures around the base of the "elephant" and trailing off to the left are humans, is that a giant to the left of the "elephant"?

>13 bam2001: The ones farthest left look like insects. So I've got no idea of the scale of this whole mess. If they are people, the tall guy is failing the square-cube law

I still say it's a witch's hat and I say the hell with it.

I'm assuming the big thing in the center of the picture is the "elephant". Is that thing just to its left/behind it

1) a grounded atomic pterodactyl?
2) the former "elephant" rider, about to shoot a ray-gun to discipline said "elephant"?
3) just some guy with a funky pointy helm who showed up for the wrong photo shoot?

It looks like it has a pointy tail, so I'm thinking #1, but it also looks like it's wielding a hand weapon of some sort, so I'm at a loss.

It is Azazel that is pictured. I know that demon personally.
