Anybody else read the Triple Crown Publications? I guess the genre is called urban fic or hip-hop fic.

I work in a bookstore and when I'm scheduled at reg, I read through them.

Awful books, no editing, and yet I keep reading them. Please tell me I'm not alone in this.

amityf - you are not alone in continual reading of bad books. There is some horrible strange facination with reading something we find ridiculous. I personally have not read the TCP and I think I may just steer clear of them. (Don't want to become addicted to bad books. LOL)

Seriously, they're crack. It's kind of scary that I'm the only person in the bookstore who can have a conversation with a customer about a book called "Whore" and if it's better than "Around the Way Girls".

You're right--there's just this fascination.
