I will be in for Saturday and Sunday. Today was a traveling day for me and I am too tired to read tonight - I got home only about an hour ago.

I am still traveling today, but will check in with you tomorrow. I am doing a bit of reading - when I can.

Saturday Report
Books read from: My continuous reading book is now Trouble for Lucia by E. F. Benson. My computer book is Sage of Waterloo by Leona Francombe. I am still reading, a page or two at a time of, Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. I started Gilided Ones by Namina Forna I finished reading Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause. I am listening to Golden Son by Pierce Brown.
Books finished: Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
Book Thoughts: I had a nice time in Joplin at the Librarything Meetup with Stasia, Roni, and Vickie. Stasia and I roomed together and it was book talk for two days. The used bookstore/game store that they had been meeting at closed and the owner decided that they would concentrate on the game side of the business when they opened at the new location. However, just across the street is another used bookstore "The Book Guy." So we met at Grey Fox Games at 10 and talked about books and games, and then moved to the bookstore where we spent a pleasant hour purchasing books. Each of us walked out of there with a pile of books. Then we had a nice lunch at the usual spot that had been home to the Meetup lunch for several years. It was a very pleasant way to spend a weekend and I am glad that I went.
I spent Friday night with a high school friend and then drove to Manhattan, Kansas to visit another school friend. There is a very nice use bookstore in Aggieville and I went there. Of course, I purchased more books.
Non-Book Activities: I met a friend in Manhattan Kansas for a visit on the way home and had a nice late afternoon with her and her husband. However, Manhattan is home to Kansas State University. There was no football game this weekend, but there was a big crowd in Aggieville. I can say with no doubt in my mind, that I am so over the colligate crowd thing. I had no fun outside of the used bookstore in Manhattan.
Reading Time Today: 2 hours
Time Reading this weekend: 4 hours
Time listening:
Time posting:
Food: I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich at the Red Onion in Joplin, MO. Then for desert I had a slice of the Bananna Cream Cheesecake. All of the food was delicious.
Total books finished since the Read-A-Thon Began: 540
Total Time Reading since the Social Distancing read-a-thon began: 1680 hours since I started doing the weekend Read-A-Thon starting in April of 2020.

My Saturday summary is sad. I read for a grand total of 40 minutes from Vesper Flights by Helen Macdonald. Today is not getting off to a great start either since I have not even been awake for an hour. CFS stinks.

Weekend wrap-up:
Books read from: Love, Death + Robots, The Briar Club
Books finished: Love, Death + Robots - short story collections
Thoughts: I tolerated some of the gruesome scenes in a few short stories and was rewarded with some very entertaining short stories in the collection. The Briar Club, in contrast, is a long novel, rather unevenly written, which seems strongest as it describes the background of various characters. Not a great book, but so far some of the characters are very enjoyable (I like Reka in particular, if anyone else has read it).
Non-book activities: Re-potted, or re-housed, some plants, taking advantage of some spectacularly mild October weather.
Total time reading: ~10h, much of that in listening to the short stories.
