Any thoughts on the women that claimed to be the baby’s mother? Why would they do it?

Women want babies as they know they can sell them to child traffickers.

I want to say that they wanted to help and loved the baby, but I agree with >2 EadieB:. Money.

The last women seemed to want the baby and give it a good home, as for the others could be as Eadie said.

A variety of motives here and not all of them pure.

I tend to think most of the women actually wanted to provide homes for the baby. They may not be able to have children or recently lost a child.

That just seemed plain weird, to me.

Each woman likely had their own reasons: money, mental illness, altruistic motive.
