What did you think was going on between Roxanne and Ellie? Did you think Roxanne had contacted her mother?

I think Roxanne is going to keep Ellie as her hostage. I don’t think Ellie has contacted her mom as I think she realizes her mom doesn’t really care about her.

It wouldn't do Ellie one bit of good to contact her mother. Eadie may be right about Ellie being Roxanne's hostage. Not sure yet how that will turn out.

Roxanne is just pretending to contact Ellie's mother. She has a purpose for Ellie, probably sex trafficking.

Roxanne is playing Ellie like a fiddle. (And, of course the woman hasn’t contacted Ellie’s mother!)

I agree with everyone. This is how vulnerable and naive young people get caught by unscrupulous criminals. I feel very sorry for Ellie and her mother.

As I said in the earlier question, clear to me Ellie was being groomed. She will end up on the street just like the girl Kim helped escape.

Of course she hadn’t contacted her mother but is in contact with someone with regularly looking at her phone.

Is Roxanne working for Lord (or someone like him)? Snaring vulnerable young girls to be offered to the unknown man in the BMW who likes virgin flesh?

Agree with you all. Ellie has fallen for a groomer and not thinking straight. She lost her phone. How on earth could she think Roxanne was able to contact any of her friends or family?
