What are we reading in November?

Happy November, everyone! What are you reading this month? I've started Peace Like a River by Leif Enger for my office book club. Please share what you're reading or planning to read below!

I am reading The Dough Must Go On by H.Y. Hanna.

I am reading a book that just may be my best book of 2025. All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker has become impossible to put down.

I had time yesterday to finish Neverhome by Laird Hunt. I'm also trying to finish She Would Be King by Wayetu Moore for my book club this week. My current ebook is Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa and I'm listening to November Road by Lou Berney.

I'm finally at a point where I can give my undivided reading attention to Child of the Prophecy by Juliet Marillier. She is an author who is unstinting in teaching her protagonists life lessons, with a grace of wording that just draws the reader in.

I've started The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen and I'm also enjoying Solar by Ian McEwan.

I am in the jungles of Vietnam with War Year by Joe Haldeman, and I am also reading Relic by Alan Dean Foster.

I’m continuing What’s Not Yours Is Not Yours by Helen Oyeyemi from last month, and I’ve started Isaac Asimov’s Father’s Day for the BingoDog and Something in the Woods Loves You by Jarod K. Anderson for the NatureKIT.

I am currently reading Wreck with The Black Wolf, Cursed Daughters and The Land in Winter on deck.

I'm reading a vintage mystery, Murder Begins at Home by Delano Ames.

I finished She Would Be King by Wayetu Moore and am starting Hunter's Moon by Philip Caputo.

Currently reading Claws Out by Cate Conte, which is a kitty cafe mystery.

I'm in the middle of Dreadful by Caitlin Rozakis, which is quite fun and charming so far.

I am currently reading The Plague by Albert Camus and just starting on Jungleland by Christopher S. Stewart.

Just finished Christmas Cakes and Mistletoe Nights which had a very satisfying ending.

I started the latest Julia Spencer Fleming, titled At Midnight Comes the Cry.

Next up for me is The Orphans of Raspay by Lois McMaster Bujold.

I’m behind on my reading. I’m still working on Something in the Woods Loves You, plus I’m reading Blue Light Hours by Bruna Dantas Lobato and listening to Strange Beasts of China by Yan Ge.

Currently I am reading The Madstone by Elizabeth Crook, this is a continuation from her preious book, The Which Way Tree which I really enjoyed. I also have Orange is the New Black just waiting to be picked up.

I just finished The Summer War by Naomi Novik, and The Mars House by Natasha Pulley. I’ve also read the Manga version of Howls Moving Castle (soo weird), and A language of dragons.
I´ve just started The last murder at the end of the world, and I find it almost as difficult to get into as The seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, which I never finished.

Currently reading Christmas at Applemore and A Ruff Royal Christmas.

I finally hopped on the Murderbot bandwagon and am reading All Systems Red by Martha Wells.

Where did November go??

I did a re-read of the the first four in Maggie Sefton's "Lambspun" cozy mystery series, since I had read them out of order and it really, really bugged my OCD self. So those, along with a LT group read of The Kaiser's Web by Steve Berry, took up most of my free reading time.

And I finished Juliet Marillier's Child of the Prophecy this month. It was great in the storyline but left something to be desired in the story telling portion. I love the original Sevenwaters trilogy and am debating reading the next books in what is now the Sevenwaters series.
