Hey all,
Has anyone seen in person either of the new all-in-one 75th anniversary editions of The Chronicles of Narnia from HarperCollins? I’ve yet to see any reviews.
The slipcase edition appealed to me quite a bit… until I saw pics of it out of the slipcase. Once out - or even removed halfway - the front cover caught me by surprise.
I like the front cover design of the deluxe edition non-slipcase edition underneath the dust jacket. Perhaps the solution is to buy both, remove the dust jacket from the “lesser” deluxe volume, and sheath that tome in the slipcase.
Or not. That way madness lies.
Anyway, here’s a link to some pics.

>1 betaraybill: Thanks for the heads-up. Hopefully FS will do something or else I might go for the HarperCollins.

I'll take either folio society set over that any day. Not at all a fan of cover designs like that.

>2 billburden: Given the upcoming high-profile film adaptations of the books which are in production i would be amazed if FS didn’t produce a new edition to cash in.

>5 antinous_in_london: Interesting. Looks like Netflix films starting with The Magician's Nephew by Greta Gerwig (Barbie) that'll get a rare theatrical release four weeks ahead of the streaming debut.

Hatchards have The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe coming out in their Hatchards Library series, tho' the new Children's offshoot. The full series seems assured (from their email):
"Each title will be reissued in an exclusive limited edition, only available at Hatchards, and will have a cloth binding, stylish dust jacket and beautiful endpapers. "
