I’m on vacation and got The World of Yesterday and Modern Gothic from the Albertina Museum.

I just purchased Wobblies and Zapatistas.

One purchase, a bit impulsive but in line with my interests: Romantic Outlaws: The Extraordinary Lives of Mary Wollstonecraft and Mary Shelley by Charlotte Gordon (which name I first read as Charlotte Corday...sheesh).

Deleted mention of an ARC I plan to return.

After vacation I returned to my volunteer job at the library bookstore and got a load.

It was cat adoption day at my local pet rescue. I didn’t get a cat but I did buy Percival Keene by Frederick Marryat.

This referred to an ARC I brought home from the bookstore. Except I tried a book the author had previously published and DNF'd that one after 3 chapters. Definitely not for me.

Taking it back to the store the next day I work.

* The List of Suspicious Things by Jennie Godfrey (I've wanted this UK book since 2024, & almost sought out the Spanish version in desperation since it wasn't published in English in the US until yesterday)
* Lolly Willowes or, Loving the Huntsman by Sylvia Townsend Warner (only bought it because I'm impulsive & no library in my local system has it)
