I noticed that the book The China Study (https://www.librarything.com/work/246606/book/288141415) had the authors listed as one unit. Currently, the author is listed as Thomas M. Campbell II T. Colin Campbell (one link).
These are two people. T. Colin Campbell, Ph.D.; and his son, Thomas M. Campbell II.
When clicking the author's link, I did see another helper who had put a notice saying they had some combination issues that needed to be cleared up, with several instances of their names included in the "includes" section. I attempted to fix it, but have never done this before, so I do not believe I succeeded in actually doing anything. Some help/guidance would be great!

I think you just needed to recaculate the author/title, it looks alright at a work level, maybe not at the book level. The China Study

Your copy has the two authors squeezed into the author field. You can edit your book and fix it. While new books in Amazon usually have decent data, older books from their marketplace venders tend to be really ratty. Using Overcat will give you better results.
You can ignore that author page. It has no works on it. There was one of the bad authors that was listed as male. I deleted that. The notice is a sysrem notice, not from another member.
If you look at the bottom of the book information box on the main work page, you will see that the work information is fine. If you click on that author link you will get to the correct author page that the work is on.

To make it extra clear, book data on LT is at two levels, the book level and work level. If an error is at the book level and it's your book then you can simply edit your book. If it's someone else's book then there's nothing that can be done. Each user's data is their own and can't be changed. Even trying to contact them about it is not allowed. In that case something will have to done at the work level which I won't get into here.

"Author division" is used when you have two different authors with the same name, to split the works on an author page between the two of them. You can't use it on a page like https://www.librarything.com/author/campbelltcolincampbe where you have two different authors on the same page. As was said above, you need to edit your book to list the two authors separately.
(And a group author consisting of multiple people, such as General Mills or Grant Naylor or Thomas M. Campbell II and T. Colin Campbell doesn't have a gender.)

Oh, that makes a lot more sense (and that's why I shouldn't be trying to learn new things at 11:30pm lol)! Thank you all. I was able to get my copy of it fixed.
