Books Added In by Genre

I'd like to get a breakdown of the number of books by genre added within a period of time (specifically 2019 to 2025). As far as I can tell, in Charts and Graphs it isn't possible to select multiple years for 'Added In'.

In lieu of the above I had thought to see if I could find a chart of numbers by genre and year added so I could do the adding up myself. All I could find was genre by month/year added which is more data entry that I'm prepared to do 🙂.

As it stands I believe my only option is to select Genre Charts and then select each year in my range individually.

Does anyone know an easier way to achieve my goal?

Down at the bottom of the "Genres" page, there's a chart for Entry Dates by Genre. It uses dots to indicate number, with genre on the Y axis and year on the X axis. I think this is what you're looking for!

edit: though looking again, is it by month? mine look like they're by year, but the line is a bit wobbly.

wait no i forgot i tend to keep my charts filtered to Read in 2025. I undid the filter and yikes, that chart could really use an annual summary, I agree.

Add them in a single collection (Power edit is your friend) and filter for the collection in the charts :)

I do that a lot when I want stats for a subset of my books.
