I last read Guards! Guards! in February 2024. It went so fast this time through! I took my time to page 100 and then raced through to the end. So much to enjoy here, especially Carrot finding the dwarf bar, what Nobby Nobbs does on his time off, and everything about Lady Sybil Ramkin.

Oh how I love Lady Sybil. Her love with Sam is so awkward and adorable. It feels so real. Also, it's lovely to see a middle aged woman, who is not treated as a dried up spinster, she is capable, she just needed a chance to shine. Sam respects her as well as loves her.
The Watch are my favourite books in the series over all, though the witches come in close.
I still wish we'd had an opportunity for Sam and Granny Weatherwax to meet :-(

finishedmen at arms and thought it just brillant the characters, the mystery the plot well done there wasnt a moment when I felt totally lost (lik in many of his books) there is plenty of humor and tension and plenty of capturing our world with fantasty didnt really lke the series much compared to other series, but iv changed my mind and this makes me eage to read the rest5*

I'm about halfway through Men at Arms and remembering the joy PTerry has always brought me. So many memories in this volume, but I think my favorites are about Cuddy and Detritus becoming fellow Watchmen instead of a dwarf and a troll. Or in addition to, rather.

Feet of Clay was a great reread, with favorite characters and a mystery to solve for Vimes.
