New Attempt to Import

This will be my first attempt to import books using the MARC option. MarcEdit was used to create the .mrc file. Is there anything to coordinate with LT with custom mapping (Zeph has been the go-to resource) The field in the .mrc file is 590$a. If I Inderstand the process, the data will populate the Comments field in LibraryThing, and then be used by TinyCat. (We use the term "Shelf Location")
Although its my initial endeavor, it will be adding books to our growing Collection

>1 7PondsNC: Hi there! This all sounds good! It may be a good idea to try a sample import first, if you haven't already. Maybe try recreating the MARC file the same way but just with one book, making sure that book has "comments" and see if it imports the way you'd like. If that doesn't sound feasible, you can also create a throw-away LibraryThing account and upload your main file there, making sure they look right without needing to delete them from your real account if they don't look right.
