I want to add a new book to two author pages (joint effort) -- can't figure out how to do even one. I have spent time looking about in the wiki directions to no avail. Thank you!

Once the book is added to a user's library, and the authors are verified on the work's page, it should automatically add to the author's pages. There is no way to add a book without it being part of a user's library first.

If there are problems you can ask for help in https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/460/Combiners%21 being sure to give the URLs involved. (Work and authors.)

What steps are you using? You've added over 6,000 books to your catalog since 2010. Have you changed anything about how you're doing that?

If this is about Hiero's Answer which you recently entered, it was on the author page for Sterling E. Lanier. The second author Lucy Andrews Cummin had not been confirmed on the work page. From my research I decided that she is probably a main author on all editions, and confirmed that on the work page, so the work now shows on her author page.
I assume the work should also be added to https://www.librarything.com/nseries/23027/Hiero, but I will leave that to people who know the series.

>4 lilithcat: and >5 MarthaJeanne: Marvelous! Thank you! So helpful. Particularly as I happen to be the Lucy in question!
