Good morning,
This has probably been asked and my brain is too fried to find it - Is there a list somewhere defining the "roles" selection for authors? I'm manually adding some short story collections, and I have taken to putting down each author as a "contributor"; this seems like the best fit, but it occurs to me that this may be coming up as difficult to parse when it connects to the author's landing page. Is there a guide or document somewhere recommending how this should be handled so the various authors are cataloged correctly?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, in short story collections the authors of the individual stories are contributors. The primary author for the collection is the editor.

>1 Magus_Manders: If you edit one of your books, you’ll see that there’s a drop-down list next to “Author” and “Other Authors” that’s pre-populated with common roles. But you can also select “Other” and enter your own role. But I agree that contributor makes the best sense for individual authors in a collection.

I should add that you need to mark this in two places. There is a place to enter the other authors as you add manually or edit your book. This needs to be confirmed on the work page. Find the author information and go to edit. If the various authors are not visible they can be recalculated. Then each one can be confirmed or edited. Once that has been done, the work will appear on their author pages.
