Any thoughts about what they found in his house? Did you agree that the killer really hated Shaun?

It looks like the killer hates him but the guy had been planning to become a torturer for a long time. If it's personal, it has to do with whatever Shaun was implying to the bartender.

Taking into consideration the awful smell, I guessed perhaps a dead pet?
I’m not sure I’d go so far as to agree that the killer hated Shaun. As Lynda and I have already opined, the man is a lunatic, he doesn’t need to hate any victim in particular.

This guy is going to be difficult to figure out his motives for anything that he does. He would appear that he hated Shaun but on the other hand, he's a lunatic and probably hates everybody and has a whole list of people that he believes has "done him wrong".

What’s in his house definitely shows that he hated Shaun.
