What did you think on hearing that Joe’s father had abused him? Did Hunter handle him well?

Yes Hunter handled speaking to Joe in a way that showed how much he cared for Joe and what he was telling him.

I enjoyed reading this chapter, seeing Hunter using his skills to bring about a change in Joe, getting Joe to trust him.
I must admit, up to this point I’d wondered whether it was possible the mother had been the abuser.

>5 Sergeirocks: I agree, this was very well handled by Hunter and the author. For me this really confirmed that abuse was a central theme of the book, and a reason for the murders in some way, shape of form. But if true need to work out how the killer got his information and what was his background.
