How to find my public library?

1SESChurchlibrary

Hi, I'm new, but have uploaded my church's books and tagged them and put them in collections. Now I'm ready to publicize to the church members, but I can't find my library through the "Search Library Thing" tab. We are SESchurchlibrary. Many thanks for your help!

Once the search page opens, navigate to 'members' filter in left sidebar. But to share the link to your library, you can just use either your profile or catalogue link

If you go down the left hand menu to 'Members' your account shows up.

You can give people your profile address
https://www.librarything.com/profile/SESChurchlibrary

or your catalogue address
https://www.librarything.com/catalog/SESChurchlibrary/allcollections

Were you planning to use this system for checking out books? If so, you may want to look into Tinycat.

Thank you so much for your quick replies. I thought I tried a link that was what MarthaJeanne sent, but I guess not because the one she sent works!

>4 gilroy: Maybe in the future, but for now, just establishing it was my goal. We use the card system for checkouts because, sadly, there aren't many checkouts, so it's easy to keep up with everything. I'm hoping electronic access will increase use.

So someone can not find our library just through the "Search Library Thing" search bar.

If you search with the search bar, the search you get is Works. To get anything else, you have to click on the search you want in the lert hand menu. So the first search will not give somebody what they want. To find you they have to search Members.

>9 SESChurchlibrary: Once you paste SESChurchlibrary in the searchbox, when you click icon or press enter, a search page opens. The left sidebar then has a number of options besides the default search for works. They are divided into several categories: Your Books, Bibliographic, Social etc. Members is under Social

ETA: I would give your users a direct link to either profile or catalogue, or both. Catalogue comes with the search of your books with advanced options if needed, profile OTOH has immediately visible tags and collections, which when clicked will open that subset of your books. So both are useful for them to navigate your library

If you are on a small screen (or a mobile screen), the left menu is instead on top. See where it says "works". Pull that and navigate to Members.

Found the Members link. Thanks for the details to get me there. Yes, that is definitely more convoluted than just providing a link, though I can provide directions in the library as an alternative.

I'm getting a QRcode too, so I should have everything ready to go shortly. Thanks again!
Your help is much appreciated.
