Patrons with Paid Memberships

I run a small, private library. Patrons must have a paid membership to check out books. Can that be handled through TinyCat, or do I need to have them pay for the membership and renew memberships through some other system and then give them a barcode and password? If it has to be done in another system, does anyone have a recommendation?

>1 goodroots: Hi there! TinyCat doesn't have a function that would allow you to process payments, so you will need to handle that aspect through another system. You can certainly track who has or hasn't paid/renewed using patron accounts in TinyCat but the actual transactions will need to happen elsewhere.

I don't have any specific system recommendations but others in this group might! If you don't have luck here, you could also try asking in the Librarians Who LibraryThing group ( https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/78/Librarians-who-LibraryThing ), as they might have some experience with patron payment systems as well.
