I was in Rochester today and this bookstore no longer exists. There's a beauty shop at this address and the phone number is disconnected. Perhaps this entry should be deleted in the interest of keeping the bookstore listings accurate and so other people don't waste their time trying to find it like I did.

I have fond memories of this bookshop, which I visited in 2001, when I was in Rochester with my late sister and her husband for her first heart surgery. I'm very sorry to hear that it is no more, but hardly surprised - it has been 25 years. I bought two of my greatest literary treasures, the Heritage Club edition of Darwin's 'Journal of the Voyage of the Beagle', and Carl Sandburg's biography of Abraham Lincoln there. The owner was enormously helpful, packing and shipping them back to England for me.
