Am I correctly interpreting/implementing the "Author Disambiguation Notice" associated with Time-Life Books

I wanted something sort of simple to enter into LT, a quick "got that shelf done!", so a few days ago I used "Add books" to import 28 members of Time-Life: The Good Cook from the Library of Congress.
Hah!!
Of the 28, 24 came in with no author info -- which is OK, I always check the metadata in the book and adjust my LT entry as seems appropriate to me. The other 4 came in with Time-Life Books. as the author, and all 28 books do have "by the Editors of Time-Life Books" on the title page. But the author page to which a large number of variations on Time-Life and/or its editors are connected to ( https://www.librarything.com/author/bookstimelife ) has the following on it:
"Disambiguation Notice:
Do not combine this corporate author with any named individual.
If your book links to this page, please edit the Author Name field on the Edit Book page to include the author's name rather than the publisher. You may need to click 'Recalculate title/author' to get your book to appear on the author's page. Thank you for your help."
So ... I should delete any reference to Time-Life in an author field, and just pick key specific editors to enter into the author field(s)? From a spot check of copyright pages, most of these were first produced in Europe and then worked on in the US, and Chief editors are identified for both situations. Then I can continue on my merry way with photographers & illustrators & writers of text? And then of course recalculate authors.
I do see that the phrase "by the Editors of Time-Life Books" shows up in the MARC Title Statement field (e.g. "245 0 0 $a Wine / $c by the editors of Time-Life Books."), so perhaps that should be included in the LT title field? A bit ugly, but do-able.

If there is no author in the books, use “Editors of Time-Life Books”. Or maybe add “The” before that (your library, your choice).
While the disambig note is a good solid advice in most cases and usually there is a named editor that can be added, you are the outlier so just record what the book tells you is the author.
