I am surprised that there are no LibraryThing members with any of the 'New Scientist Essential Guide1' series in their collection. I'd like to buy the whole series, which would be 6 box sets at ~£50 a pop.

I was searching on the web on the subject of Art, the following book surfaced:
New Scientist Essential Guide No 4 - Our Human Story, How One Species Walked Upright and Conquered the World
Kate Douglas (Editor)
The description on the back includes, "The origins of art, morality and language", I duly bought it and indeed there are 3 chapters on the subject. It is very well written explaining accessibly and clearly.
I have duly added the inaugural entry to Overcat1.

Of course there are some of these cataloged: https://www.librarything.com/search.php?search=New+Scientist+Essential+Guide&...
We even have a series New Scientist Essential Guide (which needed a few more to be added to it).
I suspect we have at least a few more lurking under their specific titles and not with "New Scientist Essential Guide" as part of the title.
