I've created a nonfiction challenge here https://www.librarything.com/topic/384267
I want to read more nonfiction, each year I have been reading a little more and I just want to keep going so just trying this out where I've kept it flexible.
All are welcome to join in and try it out.

Good luck with your challenge!
I read, on average, 120 books a year with about 1/3 of them being nonfiction. So far this year, I'm a little behind at 27%, but there's lots of time left to get that ratio up.

I try to read 2 books/month. I normally only read non-fiction. I would love to read more but I'm a museum curator of a small museum, all volunteers, so I'm sort of a one arm paper hanger keeping things going.
Oh yeah, its www.sandersonmuseum.org.
The other issue is too many magazine subscriptions!!

>4 ulmannc: yeah, it's not easy finding the time to read more nonfiction, I have kept the challenge flexible because I want it to help me work out where do I find the time to read more nonfiction.
To me magazines count, I have books that include essays and articles that were previously published in magazines / newspapers. I'm also finding the way I read is frequently parts of books rather than whole books as my focus can also be on a subject where reading whole books becomes a distraction rather than helpful.
Anyway, feel free to join in or try it out any time you want.
