Any thoughts on the blade that Carl picked up and locked in his shed? Why do you think he did this?

I think it’s probably the murder weapon in the Marrick case.
Why did Carl do what he did? Because he’s scum. Any brain cells he might once have had have been destroyed by drugs. The last thing that would enter his mind would be to turn it over to the police for their inspection.

Yes... Carl could be described as scum, but I think Carls actions are based on how he had been raised...his beliefs, and the desire to protect. His parents were never going to win any blue ribbons for their child rearing abilities. Carl absolutely believed that it was what he should do.

Carl should not have kept the blade that he found. He should have turned it over to the police.

Carl thinks that this is a useful find. He might find a use for it one day- a chilling thought.

Agree he is a career troublemaker. He took the knife because he thought it was cool, not smart enough to realize the problem he was creating for himself.

The strangest thing was how the presumed murder weapon was disposed of. There was no way Carl would have turned it over to the police. It’s clear he would want to keep there knife for himself. As John mentioned >6 JohnDBurke:, not a smart move! Sad to see these career criminals from such a young age. We can blame the parents, but also plenty of cases of children brought up in similar circumstances who do not take this route.
