What was your impression of Fabrice Colbert? Any thoughts on his dispute with Charlie? Could this be a motive for murder?

Fabrice Colbert was a chef who didn’t want to be disturbed. He was king of his kitchen and a hard taskmaster. His dispute with Charlie was over wine. When the chef ordered expensive wines he would send him cheap wine with expensive labels. He called Charlie a thief. This definitely was a motive for murder.

It's hard to imagine what some folks would be capable of killing over. I have to totally agree with >2 EadieB:.

I don’t want to insult the French, so I will be silent.

>1 Andrew-theQM: Sorry, but the foul-mouthed, yelling chef has become a bit of an overworked cliché.
Colbert had a legitimate beef with Marrick, (who is growing nastier with each telling).
He didn’t kill Marrick. (Marrick appears to have gone willingly under the knife.)

Like Sergei >5 Sergeirocks: says, a typical cliché. It is definitely a possible motive, but I really don’t see him being the murderer.

I do not see Colbert as the murderer; he had other ways in which he could punish Marrick- hitting his bank balance springs to mind.
