Any other thoughts, comments or questions on the first section?

An interesting opening to the book, more questions than answers.

A lot is being made of Heff’s son’s new job. I know this could simply be story filler, but I’m wondering if it could link to the killing? Especially when it was mentioned that Sam had spotted a hooded figure in the grounds of the vet surgery.

A good solid start and plenty to think about.
