I just bought a used copy of Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, first printing 2005, without the slipcase. All the images I saw online have a dyed brown top like the picture below, which I really like, but mine is white and yellowish. Could it be that the color has worn off, or that this printing just doesn't have a brown top?

The first printing of this book would be 2002, not 2005. Later (sixth) reprints are bound in buckram not leather, but still have brown tops. Three different printers were involved in editions of this book: Bath Press, then Cambridge University, back to Bath Press, then finally LEGO. Check the colophon of your book, but it would not surprise me if one of the reprints (perhaps Cambridge) omitted the brown tops.
