I NEED HELP!!!

I recently had a request from a long-time member that I didn't know the answer to. my co-admin on another site, came to the rescue with the answer. No, she's not getting a raise in pay:) I thought it might be a good idea to just have a thread that will be pinned to perhaps help others in the future. If anyone thinks of something that might be helpful to know how to do...and you know how to do it...just drop me the suggestion and maybe the answer...and we'll add it to our I Need Help thread. We may never use it...but it's only taking up a little bit of space and may keep someone from getting more gray hairs:)

ADDING A BOOK TO A SERIES
1. If you have a book that should be in an existing series, but it isn't, and you want to put it in:
- Pull up a book already listed in the series.
- Click on the series name, which is right under the author's name
- Over to the right, there is a box headed "Edit Series". That gives you many options to work on a book series.
- "Add to/Organize Series" will let you add a missing book to a series or fix the order of the series if it isn't correct.

2. If you want to create a series for a group of books that haven't been noted.
- Pull up any book in any series that already exists.
- Click on the series name, which is right under the author's name
- Over to the right, there is a box headed "Edit Series".
- At the bottom of the box there is an option to "create new series". Use that and you are good to go.

Hide the Quick Facts: (Panel on the side of the book worksheet)

1. Go to a work page — Click on a book, author, or work in your library or search results.

2. Locate the Quick Facts panel — It’s the vertical panel on the right side of the page, usually labeled “Quick Facts” or with a small icon.

3.Collapse it — Look for a small collapse/expand icon (often a minus sign or arrow) in the top-left corner of the panel. Clicking it will hide the Quick Facts section.

4. Reorder or hide other panels — If you want to control the layout, you can drag and drop panels or collapse/expand them individually. You can also rearrange them to your preference.

Tip: If you don’t see the collapse icon, the panel may be set to “always show” by default. In that case, you’ll need to adjust your panel settings in your account preferences or contact LibraryThing support to request a hidden Quick Facts option.

By collapsing or removing the Quick Facts panel, you can make the work page cleaner and focus on other sections like reviews, ratings, or your own book details.
