I finished Tapestry of Fate yesterday. I mostly enjoyed it, but the first book was better :) Fingers crossed for book 3!

A new Victoria Goddard novella is always welcome among my books :) Come here, Urbanite

I decided to read a novelette by Nghi Vo, On the Fox Roads. It was a nice one.

That glorious moment when your husband asks you if you are familiar with the concept of "brownie in motion" - you say no, and expect something geeky and cool. The husband then proceeds to explain "Brownian motion". This was fine, actually, because it's nice to be reminded.
But I am sad about "brownie in motion".

🤣🤣🤣

LOL!

You probably feel you've been bounced all over the place after that.

>23 Alexandra_book_life: Are you saying no brownies were consumed in the process of this demonstration? How unfortunate.

I would not expect to see a demonstration of the mythical creature in motion.

1808: The Flight of the Emperor was very interesting, but I wish it was a better book.

>23 Alexandra_book_life: had to look up ‘Brownian motion.” I think I’d rather discuss “brownie in motion.”

Happy New Thread! I'm glad The Tapestry of Fate was a solid four star read, but I might not race off to read it right away. Very happy to hear you enjoyed the new Goddard! That woman can write! (I convinced my daughter to read The Bone Harp while she was visiting and she loved it.)

Urbanite is a really nice novella. I am happy that your daughter loved The Bone Harp. The more people read Goddard, the better!

>23 Alexandra_book_life:. Did you share with your husband that you had anticipated something warm and chocolatey? That perhaps you were just a little disappointed at the lack of sharing of a physical morsel of goodness? I mean, Brownian motion is all very useful in its way, but it's really not the same thing.

>33 jillmwo: Oh, I will, I will, no worries. I want to enjoy this by myself for a while.
I agree that brownies are way better than Brownian motion.

Brownies in motion sounds frustrating but perhaps more healthy
