One of my personal favorite strings of commentary on GSS originated on this fine cover, which today is a metaphor for our contemporary American political scene. Happy Independence Day!

Whippy McBlackcoat must be Stephen Miller, making the destructive green monster Trump. Down in brown we have Mitch McConnell, while Lindsay Graham is in green and Mike Johnson jogs along in white. The wreckage in their wake is the national Republican party, and the gloomy green smog is the current economic environment. Analogy complete.
