I've just received this announcement from Oak Knoll:
Oak Knoll Press and the British Library have given permission to the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) to make available for non-commercial use a digital copy of their latest edition of the classic book ABC for Book Collectors by John Carter as revised by Nicolas Barker.

This describes ABC for Book Collectors:
https://www.ilab.org/eng/documentation/30-john_carters_abc_for_book_collectors.h...
Here is where you can download a free PDF with permission from the publisher:
https://www.ilab.org/eng/documentation/29-abc_for_book_collectors.html
It is an excellent resource for bookselling and collecting terminology so that you can better understand descriptions and make more accurate communication with fellow bibliophiles.
Having a printed copy is also good.
