Lewis Nordan

I am currently reading All is Vanity but when I finish I am looking forward to Boy with Loaded Gun by Lewis Nordan. I have a whole slew of Nordan to read but Boy with Loaded Gun will be my introduction to his work.

I enjoyed Drowning Ruth but haven't read All is Vanity. How is it? I'm not familar with Lewis Nordan, and look forward to hearing your impressions.

I tried The Sharpshooter Blues, but it was just too disgusting and depressing for my taste and I couldn't make it through. Is there another one I should try that won't send me screaming from the room?

You should try Lightning Song. It's still definitely has the Southern grittiness, but it's a fun read.
