Hello all, I am new to this site and group. I see that it's been rather quiet in here for months, but Hello anyway :-)
Although I rarely get to prepare much, I do enjoy collecting cookbooks with ethnic recipes. My favorite food is Thai and I am also a certified sushi lover. Just wanted to invite anyone who shares same interests to check out my collection and looking for suggestions on interesting finds to add.

I'm new, too, and love cookbooks. I have hundreds, but haven't catalogued any on LibraryThing; I'm still trying to figure my way around the site and discover its potential.
Is there a way a person can list cookbooks and keep them separate from the fiction/nonfiction I'm currently tracking, sort of a subset?
I love Thai food also. My collection of cookbooks is pretty eclectic, but I favor baking (especially cookie) cookbooks, seasonal (particularly autumn) ones, and vegetarian/vegetable books.

I haven't really found a way to separate my cookbooks other than using the tagging system. All of my cook books are tagged with 'recipes' than I also added a tag describing the ethnic group or country the recipes are from. When the collection tool is available, I'm guessing than the cookbooks can have their own little 'virtual shelf',lol.
I too am still in the process of cataloging the remainder of my cookbooks. Funny, I spent more time cataloging the books than I actually get to use them. This summer I really took a break from making large meals.
