Hi gang, I read a great book on Fathering (strangely it's written for Divorced fathers). Now I'm working on some culture books because I'm taking a course on intercultural stuff in preparation for delivering workshops to churches on immigrants and how to serve their needs - something I'm only beginning to learn about. cheers.

Nice. I've just picked up Jesus for President, by Shane Claiborne. Timely with the two elections happening soon. I heard an interview with him and drew marshall (drewmarshall.ca). Very cool.

I just finished A World History of Christianity which was a textbook a couple of years ago. I only had a few pages left so why not finished it off. I'm currently reading Nine in a Land Rover about this missionary family that drives from Brazil to Canada back in the 50s. I am also reading a Sugar Creek Gang book, Sherman's Lagoon, TNIV, Message, HCSB, ESV and Interpreting the New Testament Text. Oh and Joe Gibbs: Fourth and One. And some others but they're at the office and I can't remember the full titles off hand. It's a busy time for me. I just finished reading the Lost Books quadrilogy by Ted Dekker which were pretty good although I don't think it finished as strong as it started.

I just read "Survival Kit for Overseas Living". Charlie had us read it for the OnSite preparation class back in 1999. So, 10 years later it was good to re-read. Not sure what to take on next, 'hoping for something to help renew me spiritually. I tend to read shorter articles on ESL teaching these days. This one was short but sweet: http://web.mit.edu/tll/tll-library/teach-talk/responding-effectively.html.

Hot dog - long time, no see. I've been busy reading. This is my best month for reading in ten years. Too many to list so you'll have to look at my recently added section. The last book I finished was The New Global Mission by Samuel Escobar. It was an ok intro book written by a Peruvian now working in Spain. Reverse missions, if you will. We moved to Coquilam near Westwood. Rains lots there so perfect reading weather :).

I was at Harrison Hot Springs this Easter. We were there for 6 days so I read about a 100 pgs. I big deal for me. Fascinating book on one of the more famous Sikh Christians, I picked it up at the Ambrose library while I was searching for another book (that wasn't even there). I'm guessing Neil is trying to make a smaller web footprint, so that's why he's not one here much. Talk to you later men. ~ James

I'm on here quite a bit but only noticed your message tonight. That sounds like an interesting book. I'm really busy trying to finish everything I have on the go before I leave. See you soon, eh!
