Enjoying Twilight

So far I am enjoying reading the book. I haven't got too far into the book since I am only on page 58 at the moment. I do feel Sorry for Bella being the new kid at school and not having too many friends to talk too. I am really looking forward to reading more of Twilight and then going on to read the other books in the Saga.

I read some more of the book last night and I am now on page 135. I am finding out that Twilight is a very fast paced book and is hard for me to put down. The action never lets up. I am looking forward to reading some more over this long weekend. At this pace it shouldn't take me too long to finish the book.

I just finished it yesterday - it took me 2 weeks. I think you're going to like how it progresses!

I have finished the book now and am currently reading New Moon right now. I just recently bought Breaking Dawn and The Host. Personally, I had been hoping that Edward would make Bella into a Vampire since that is what she really wants. If I was going to become a Vampire I would want to join a Vampire Clan(?) just like the Cullen's. I'm not sure if Vampire Clan is the right description for a bunch of Vampires. Maybe Vampire family would be a much better description. Anyway, I would love to see Bella become a Vampire. The books are real fast reads.

I think you'll find that The Host isn't quite as fast when you go to read it, but it can definitely be just as gripping a novel as the Twilight books. It definitely is Sci-Fi for people who don't like Sci-Fi!

I'd call the Cullen's a family, but clan would be the correct term for a group of vampires. You could also use coven. (Stephenie refers to the group of vampires from Denali as a clan in the books.)

I just wanna say that as you start New Moon, DON'T STOP READING.
I know you're gonna wanna stop or skip ahead but DON'T.
I know it's hard.
But DON'T.

If need be, read it twice before you go onto Eclispe.

Just putting that out there right now.

I always associated the owrd coven with a group of witches and not vampires. I called it clan or family because I thought either one or of those words fit better than coven. Also I thought people may say, Beatles1964 coven is what is described for a group of witches.

relinquishedworm I'll have to take your word on this so I may decide to read it twice before going on to Eclipse like you say.

you absolutely have to read New Moon and not skip anything before going on to Eclipse, it does seem like a slower read but that's because it's laying the groundwork for the next two. Stick with it and read the whole thing

Actually, among paranormal/supernatural groups coven is a commonly accepted term for a group of vampires, but Stephenie uses clan.

I read through New Moon faster than Twilight because I NEEDED to get to the end. If ya know what I mean... ;)

It's just that I always thought the word coven was more associated with witches more than it would be vampires. Somehow a coven of vampires just doesn't sound right to me.

lol...I know. That's typically what I associate it with, too.

well for some vampires it sounds better than family i guess.

You could always call it a clan or tribe of vampires too.
