This author just won the Pulitzer. I know nothing about him. Does he have any books on the 1001 list? (I'm not at home to check my copy, and I don't have the later version).

Didn't see anything by him on the list, either old or new. It looks like his most popular book is owned by fewer than 100 people on LT. Amazon is claiming that only 5 of his books are available in English, though I read somewhere that 12 had been translated.
