Please join us if your library fits the description of the group: "Libraries serving synagogues, Hillel groups, or similar Jewish organizations."

One of the advantages of having more libraries join is that you can do a search of all of our collections. That could be useful if your are looking for good Jewish books that you don't already own.

I am not really sure what all I would have to do to be a member of your group, but I am happy to join you.

I have been the librarian here for about a year now and love picking out books for our library. I have spent most of the year putting a LC number to the books that were already sitting on the shelves.

Our library is composed of books with any kind of a Jewish connection, be it Jewish in topic or Jewish author. I usually order from Amazon because of the price and t he convenience.

You did it; you're a member now. If you go to http://www.librarything.com/groups/synagoguelibraries, look on the right side of the screen and you'll see "Search group members' libraries." There you can search all catalogs of members in the group.

You can also post other messages to this forum if you want.

Hi, we are the Congregation Tifereth Israel synagogue library and would like to join. We need help fixing our library system, and this seems to be a good place to start.

We are Beth Shalom, in Auckland NZ. I've taken on the Librarian Role, and am using Library Thing to catalog our books, and then create a TinyCat for our members to use.

I'm hoping that this group springs back to CHAIM!!
