It's a dark, cold, rainy, nasty no-fun day here in Des Moines. So, when I get home from work, I have to decide what to read and what to drink in order to remove that feeling of ick from around me. Tonight, it will be a little book of short stories and a nice oatmeal stout.

I love porters and IPA's, and I'm currently reading the classic, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. It seems very appropriate to be drinking to that book.
