Didn't love it. SPOILER Really didn't like what he did to Sazed in his "questioning" period. Is that what believers really think of atheists? Jeeze....

I haven't read Hero of Ages yet. Maybe I can borrow it off you when you're done? *blinks big pleading eyes*
I did recently read Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians. The magic system was well-developed, as Sanderson's tend to be, but the writing style was annoying in the extreme. Perhaps I would have found it more amusing if I was a 12-year-old boy, since I think that's who it was aimed at.

I'd lend it to you, but I read it off my Kindle.
I loved Alcatraz, so I guess my inner 12-year-old is still functioning.

Aw, shoot.
I had to skip the first part of every chapter in Alcatraz. The humor seemed forced to me, and quite pleased with its own cleverness. But I'm not a big fan of that sort of humor, anyway. I'm the only person I know who hates the movie "Shrek" with a white-hot passion.

We are a devotedly Sanderson household. My husband and I love his fantasy books. Hero of Ages is wonderful! And my 9 & 8 yr old boys think the Alcatraz books are the funniest things they ever read. They even like them better than Captain Underpants, which is quite the complement.
