Hallo almigwin and thanks so much for posting that list - it's very impressive indeed!

I haven't digested it all of it yet, but I would be interested to hear what you thought of Disobedience and Homecoming - I have read the former but not the latter. Many thanks!

P.S. I generally get close to around 200 a year, but perhaps I'll take on your 250 challenge in 2009! Let's see...

Carolyn, i have strong memories of Disobedience because I have never read anything that combined lesbianism with judaism. coming out is difficult enough, without religions that disapprove. I thought it was well done, but not great literature.

I don't remember Homecoming at all. I will have to see if I can find it to refresh my memory. I haven't filed many piles of books, so finding things is hard.

The reason I couldn't remember Homecoming is because I had the wrong one listed. I never read or even knew about the Cynthia Voigt. I copied it from a touchstone mistake. I hope there are not a lot of those in my list, but I think not. The Homecomings I read were the Pinter play which I love, love, love, and the Bernhard Schlink which I thought was so so but not as good as The Reader.
