I am actually a fan of Harry Potter. I like reading the series and I have read the whole series up to book 7. I think that not all of the books are great. I think that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was rather more disappointing than I have expected it to be. I was expecting more than just helping Harry's uncle escape. I was expecting more of a surprise than an uncle. I thought it would be his father and he some how survived years ago when he was attacked by Voldamort. This is only my opinion and I hope that you don't consider this as insult.
2pollysmith
You are entitled to your opinion and no one will hate you for it. We all have favorite and non favorite books

Oooooh! I love Twilight! Ok, i'll admit I'm still reading it for the first time *blushes* but it's a-mazing! I really love it so far! Wait, am I the only one who's so late in reading it?
ETA: Oh, by the way, I know that I wasn't the one being asked, but I just couldn't resist. Forgive me for that.

Yes. Everyone else has read it already. Vampires are yesterday's news. The new craze is llamas. Get with the program.

I'm sorry, llamas are now passé. The cool kids are into dirigibles.

This must be some sort of record for us getting off topic. Took just 3 posts to get off track...Well done everyone, Capital Capital!
I'm wondering...We were keeping tally of who made us laugh more Espy or Mr.A. I wonder who gets us off topic the most out of everyone.

#10 — Honestly, I don't come to HE to hear about MrA's medical problems even if he is doing it for Llamas.
I think that the trend has turned to Daschunds now.

I'm thinking of a story about a daschund named Thomas Anderson who learns he is a wizard and goes to Wizard Obedience School to learn how to do magic and finds out he is actually "The Daschund Who Lived," the only daschund to ever survive a curse from the evil "Lord Cuddlypants." Do you think there's an audience out there for this kind of story?

is that a pictuer of Thomas Anderson or Lord Cuddlypants? Because either way I want to rub his belly.

My name is lefty.
My quest is to spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear.
I believe the spelling is a convoluted version of the word "anaweir," meaning non-wizard folk, also known as muggles.

I'm sorry I thought I was in with the vampire thing but thanks to MrA. I know I'm not.
Runs to read about llamas, bi-planes and carrots
#9: And did MrA. try to pass a crab and fire as a Llama? see El llano en Llamas I speak spanish and in this title Llamas means fire...lol
#1: And to get back on topic, I think everybody should have their own opinion and for me the least favorite in the series would have to be the second one, and Sirius wasn't Harry's uncle he was Harry's Godfather, and I apologize I have this annoying habit of correcting people.

This is nothing related to Harry Potter... so I warn you, please do not cross the line and post messages completely unassociated to the topic. Alright, got it, son?

Obviously, you haven't read "Harry Potter and and the Order of the Dachshund Dirigible".
Way to resurrect your thread, dude. Seriously, thanks - i enjoyed re-reading this. So... are you going to post here once every five months?
Espy, have you finished your book yet? I want to find out if Thomas Anderson is a dashcrux.

#34 -- The tone of your post just makes me want to post things that have nothing to do with Harry Potter. Really. You probably should re-think that attitude. We do tend to talk about other things here, and if your goal is to start threads that stay completely serious and on topic, you are headed for a world of frustration.
#35 -- Shhhh. . . . I don't think that plot twist will be revealed until the ninth book.

So true.
You know what helps? Cookies. Warm, soft cookies. I prefer chocolate chip, but alas....those were stolen from my kitchen counter. I still haven't figured out who it was.

Kirby stood up on his hind legs and Finnegan jumped up on his head, grabbed the cookies and they both ran behind the couch and devoured them with glee!
41kirbyowns
It's a possibility. Finnegan was left out of his cage yesterday. Dad normally goes home for lunch, takes the boys out, plays with them a little, and goes back to work. Kirby stays in "his room" (which is really the Kitchen/Family Room) with the door gate shut. Finnegan stays in his kennel. Apparently dad didn't latch the door good enough, and Finnegan had free reign on the hallway, dining room, and living room. We didn't find any messes, but one of his toys had been chewed almost in half.
Finnegan's nose can almost reach the top of the counter when he stands up.

My black lab took a whole loaf of bread off the counter once and ate the whole thing. Just plastic wrapper everywhere gave her away.
Before blaming the dogs, are you sure you didn't take the cookies in your sleep Kirby?

43kirbyowns
I'm pretty sure. They were there when I went to bed, and when I left for work the next day. When I got home expecting to enjoy one they were gone.
Speaking of sleep, I fell out of the bed this morning. Somehow I had managed to be on the very edge of my bed sleeping on my side. When I turned to shut off the annoying alarm I fell off the bed. Finnegan was very excited because when I get out of bed we go for a walk. I hit the snooze button, crawled back into bed, and grabbed him to cuddle.

I made cinnamon rolls once, left 4 on my coffee table while I went to go pour myself some coffee (ahhh those were the days, 10 days and counting) When I noticed that pepper did not follow me to the kitchen like she usually does I called her name and she didn't come (bad sign) crinkled the bag on her treats, she didn't come (VERY bad sign) so I ran back to the living room and there was my angel looking at me with the most innocent eyes and ears flat against her head and only one roll left.
Bad Bad gril!
Bad Bad gril!
45kirbyowns
See, mine wouldn't be looking innocent. They would have quickly gobbled the last roll down, ignoring my yells to stop and what such a bad dog they were. That's why we never leave our plate unattended. It's also why Finnegan goes in his cage when we eat. He hasn't quite got the "don't get on the furniture while we're eating" part down. You'd think he'd learn from Kirby, who sits as still as he can watching us at our feet.
46Mandy2
She's usually very good at the not eating unles she's told, but I guess the rolls just smelled to good. I mean who can blame her?
47foggidawn
Yeah, when I sit on the couch and eat, Sophie would be glad to come right up beside me and eat from my plate if I would let her.
48lefty33
Indeed, Mandy. If you'd left me with an unattended plate of fresh cinnamon rolls I probably wouldn't have left even one for you.
49Mandy2
Yea, I think she stopped eating when she heard me coming. If I hadn't noticed she would have gone all in.

I'm not used to having a cat who likes people food. This reminds me I have a cheese-it cracker to get from under my bed after Tumbledore stole it and decided to not eat it last night. Must get it!

Lol K, my cat will eat anything that I am eating literally.. I have even caught her drinking my pepsi and coffee. Last night she tried to eat my dinner.
53MrAndrew
ewww K. Get a fresh cracker if you're that hungry.
Kirby, did you consider that your dad might have scarfed the cookies, and he is letting Finnegan take the rap?

One of my favorite things to see is when the cats carry the treat packets around the house in their mouths. It's so funny.

One of my cat will barely even eat cat food, and won't eat our food, just checks it out.
The other one will eat anything - truly anything - on our plate, in a bowl, in a glass... She's definitely mama's baby, as she's partial to Stoli Raz and cranberry juice...

Anyone who sees Tipi might think she doesn't eat, either. I need to find something to help her gain a little weight.
58pollysmith
My weird cat who was afraid of everyone except me used to sit behind my little end table whenever i had a TV snack like Chex mix or cheez-its. I could see that fluffy gray paw creep up, snag one from the bowl and dissappear quickly, to be followed shortly by sounds of crunching and chewing behind my chair. minutes later it started again. Sometimes ,just to mess with him I'm move the bowl or hold it in my lap. He'd come out and look at me thoroughly disgusted.

In my house it's ice cream that disappears. I taught myself to not like it so I won't have to be sad when it's gone. My mom and kid sister eat it. I can't say when I had ice cream at home last. Oh, wait! November. Strawberry cake with chocolate frosting and vanilla ice cream. Everyone said it wouldn't be good together but it was. That's what we had on my birthday.
63pollysmith
salty snacks here don't stay around long. they tend to end up in my stomach! (sigh) pats bulging belly.
Offside: the other day MEM and I compared bellies. Sadly I know hers will dissapper in a few months.
offoffside: I guess mine would too if I tried hard enough. Ah what would I pay for more willpower!

You're so funny K! When I was growing up, if you finished something important (ice cream, milk, cookies) you were sure to cringe when the next person looking angrily yelled out, "WHO finished this?" As a result, everyone would take smaller and smaller portions until there was barely any left to avoid being the one who finished. You might find a teaspoon sized blob of ice cream, a few drops of milk, or one cookie because of our fear of finishing.
Wow, flashbacks. I had a one bizarre childhood.

65lefty33
JP & K, you're both nuts! We just finished things with abandon and if you missed out you learned to get to the good stuff faster next time. Saving food with 8-12 people around at all times was absolutely impossible. Of course, it also brought a certain anonymity to who finished something. Too many people to keep track of.
Polly, willpower is way overrated!

#35 - Unfortunately I've been having some writers block lately. I've basically had Thomas and his two friends, Ronnywinkles and Helga, fleeing Lord Cudlypants' Army of Dobermans. They're stuck out camping away from the rest of the world, eating grass... you know the sort of thing. Unfortunately no matter how long I have them spending together for awesome character development it just seems to drag on. Maybe I'll have Ronnywinkles get in a huge fight over practically nothing only to return in an improbable manner a few weeks later!
