Hello everyone I just wanted to update you where I am in the book. Yes, believe it or not I am still reading the book. Normally I am not this slow a reader however this is what happens when I am spending my time reading a bunch of different books all at the same time. I hope to be able to get some reading done over the long ThanksGiving weekend.

Currently I am in Book Five Exodus on page 384 and almost ready to start reading the next chapter What We Carried Out. With any luck I will be able to finish several of the books I am currently reading at the moment. However, I seriously doubt now at this late stage that I am going to meet the goal of the 50 Book Challenge with only 5.5 weeks left in the year. I will have to do a mean bit of reading these last several weeks if I am even going to come close to reading 50 books.

Hi, beatles1964!
I am glad to hear you are still reading The Poisonwood Bible. I thought that Exodus was the hardest part of the book to read. I liked the following two parts better and, of those, the last part the best. It is an amazing story, though!

Happy Turkey Day! :)

I bet that I am the last person here to still be reading the book. As of right now I still have another 159 pages left in the book to read. If I am able to devote several straight hours of reading the book thisThanksGiving weekend I should finally be finished.

I have really enjoyed reading the book and in the future will probably look into buying the rest of Barbara Kingsolver's
books she has written.

You know, I am always pretty late on group reads. I finished Bleak House two months later than everyone else. But I was so glad that I read it. The nice thing about doing it on the computer is that you can still keep up with the conversations by reading the posts. I am still hoping to do a few group reads that were completed early last year before I heard about them.

My daughter like Prodigal Summer.

I just wanted to let everyone here know that I am just beginning to read Book Seven The Eyes In The Trees. Hopefully, I can finish the book by this weekend and conitinue on with one of the others I am
still in the midst of reading. So the end is finally in sight for me. I won't say the book has been a struggle for me to read, it's just trying to find the time between this and all the others as well. I have enjoyed the book tremendously and I would re-read it again but not when I am trying to juggle reading so many other books at the same time. The next time I decide to read The Poisonwood Bible it will be the only book I am reading at the time so I can get through it a heck of a lot faster than I did this time.

I wanted to let everyone here know that I finally finished reading The Poisonwood Bible over the weekend. Now I am going to concentrate on trying to finish up some of my other books I am currently reading right now. Wuthering Heights, by Emily Bronte, Homer The Odyssey, Maria or The Wrongs of Woman by Mary Wollstonecraft, Sense and Sensibility, and The Mists of Avalon to name just a few of the books.
